Customer 1st Director Elected to National Board

DALLAS, Jan. 25, 2010 – The Mystery Shopping Providers Association, the largest professional trade association dedicated to improving service quality using anonymous resources, has installed its newly-elected board of directors.

Carl Phillips has been elected Treasurer. Phillips is a charter member of the MSPA and has served on several committees including, most recently, chair of the Industry Value Committee. The Industry Value committee provides case studies to fellow MSPA members and clients on how monitoring the customer’s experience, through mystery shopping, can positively affect ROI. Phillips is the director of Customer 1st (Greensboro, NC), which he founded in 1996 as a byproduct of his 26 years of experience in retail management.

The MSPA North America board consists of 11 members, three of whom are new to the board. Each year four officer positions are elected – president, vice president, treasurer and secretary. The remaining members each serve three-year terms as directors.

“The 2010 board of directors brings world-class professionalism and progression to the association,” said John Swinburn, executive director of the MSPA. “The board will focus on combating legislative issues facing the industry, along with continued efforts on growing and enhancing the mystery shopping field.”
