Scott Hall, Senior Vice President and COO, FirstPoint Background Screening Resources has been selected as the December 2019 PBSA Volunteer of the Month. Scott was chosen due to his leadership as past Chair of the association and past Chair of the Communications Committee, the Finance Committee, and his continued work with the Leadership Development Committee.  Here's what Mr. Hall had to say:

My role at PBSA is
Currently I am serving on the Leadership Development Committee, the Finance Committee and I am the Chair of the Ethics Committee. I am also a past Chair of the association and past Chair of the Communications Committee, the Finance Committee, and the Leadership Development Committee.

Why I wanted to volunteer with PBSA
The only way to make a difference is to get involved. If my plan was to devote my professional career to the background screening profession, then I needed to get involved in helping any way I could in the advancement of our association and profession.

What I do when not at work
Most people don't know that I love to play the piano and have been playing since the 3rd grade. I also enjoy playing golf and playing fantasy football. However, our family's favorite activity is being out on the boat on the lake.

What I'm reading
I just started reading Robert Iger's, the Chairman of Disney, new book The Ride of a Lifetime.

On my desk right now are 2020 budget spreadsheets, a picture of me and my daughter, an old fashioned Rolodex, and a Peanuts comic calendar that was a gift from a co-worker.
